A Charlestown resident was yesterday robbed of $2 million
moments after withdrawing the money from a city bank.
The victim is 51-year-old Errol Allicock who was attacked and
robbed in Robb Street by two men, one of whom was armed with a
hand gun. According to the police, Allicock had just withdrawn the
money from the bank and was walking towards his vehicle with the
money stashed in a bag he was carrying over his shoulder when he
was confronted by the armed man. The bandit held him up and
took the bag away before escaping on a motor cycle ridden by an
accomplice.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
