The Universal Sports store was burglarised Thursday in the wee hours of the morning, causing the entity to sustain losses in the vicinity of $700,000.

Manager
Avinash
Persaud,
he
received
a
phone
call
from
a
relative
very
early
in
the
morning
stating
that
the
store
was
robbed,
upon
receiving
the
information
he
later
checked
and
found
that
the
grill
and
padlock
was
severed,
and
the
sliding
door
was
force
ajar.
He
said
that
the
bandits
knew
what
they
came
for
since
all
of
the
electrical
equipments
were
taken
along
with
cricket
bats,
clothing,
and footwear
which
amounted
to
$700,000
in
losses.
According
to
the
sales
representative,
Tandika
Cornette,
the
police
took
fingerprints
and
promised
to
further
investigate.
She
disclosed
that
bags
were
left
behind
by
the
bandits
and
it
appeared
as
if
they
took
their
time
and
sorted
what
were
the
most
expensive
items.
She
revealed
that
a
neighbour
saw
the
entire
ordeal,
when
three
men
were
forcibly
entering
the
entity
in
the
wee
hours
of
the
morning.
She
said
that
