Police have launched a hunt
for two prisoners who escaped
from the lock-ups at Wisroc
Police Outpost, Linden at 9 am
yesterday.
The two prisoners, Nigel
Kissoon and Michael Taylor, were
on remand and were awaiting a
court appearance yesterday at
the Christianburg Magistrate's
Court. Police said that the
facts and circumstances
pertaining to the escape are not
clear. "However, competent
investigators from Georgetown
have been dispatched to the
Division to conduct
investigations," the Police
release said.
Kissoon is 33 years old, six
feet tall, brown in complexion,
with black hair, brown eyes and
of mixed race. He is slim in
build with a scar on the chest.
He has no fixed place of abode
and he has been charged with
robbery under arms, wrongful
restraint for ransom
and rape and buggery.
Taylor is 29 years old, six
feet, three inches tall, dark in
complexion, with black hair and
with brown eyes.
He is of Afro-Guyanese
descent, stout in build and of
126 One Mile, Wismar. His
alleged offences are robbery
under arms, wrongful restraint
for ransom and rape and buggery.
